Blatto Houseboat

Design: GO'C

Build:  Wild Tree Woodworks

Seattle, Washington

We stepped out of the forest and into the water for this amazing project.  Though not a treehouse, constructing this houseboat designed by GO'C offered a unique opportunity for us. We adapted our skillset to collaborate successfully with not only a world-class architecture studio, but also a hull fabricator, a naval architect, a structural engineer, and numerous skilled trade partners. The finished project shows how the full team worked together to build an exquisite floating residence.

The GO'C design is poetic and ordered. It clearly defines a subtle way of living within a modest space. The details are thoughtful and consistent throughout. Those details were executed masterfully by our team of craftspeople. The finished houseboat was featured in Dwell Magazine.

In the center of the Seattle, floating on Lake Union between water and sky, one can feel the intuitive connection to our larger home here in the Cascadia bioregion.

“Our team at GO'C couldn't be more happy with how our floating home project turned out with Wild Tree Woodworks. Wild Tree's team was extremely dedicated, detail oriented and creative.”
